Michigan's Big House Debuts In-Stadium Advertising with Coca-Cola, Meijer, Google
Michigan Stadium, home of the University of Michigan Wolverines football team, is introducing in-stadium advertising for the first time in its history. The university has partnered with Coca-Cola, Meijer, and Google Gemini to display their logos inside the stadium. According to athletic director Warde Manuel, the school has been 'deeply intentional about preserving [the stadium's] tradition, character, and identity.'
The sponsor logos will be integrated into various aspects of the in-stadium experience, including programming on the video board. This marks a significant departure from the stadium's previous policy of no advertising within its walls.
Michigan Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the country, with 107,601 seats. The university projects $297 million in athletics revenue and expenses for the 2026-27 fiscal year, with corporate sponsorships accounting for a significant portion of that figure.
