Microsoft 365 Services Hit by Second Day of Outage
Microsoft's 365 services experienced an outage that ran into its second day. The company acknowledged issues on August 31 at 5 pm BST and identified a problem with an authentication component that affected multiple services.
By 11 pm, Microsoft said it was working to mitigate the issue and reported that mail traffic queues were draining by 6:24 am on August 32. However, its service health page showed search and calendar issues persisting into the workday on September 1.
The company's investigation found a misconfiguration issue preventing authentication components from deploying as expected to part of its infrastructure.
