Microsoft Aims for $5 Trillion by 2029 on Strong Earnings Growth
Microsoft's market value needs to climb about 40% by the end of 2029 to reach $5 trillion, which works out to a 10% annual growth rate.
The company already grew revenue 18% and net income 31% in fiscal 2026, with Azure revenue passing $100 billion for the year.
Microsoft's stock trades at about 27 times its earnings per share, which is roughly the same multiple it carried last year when it reported a 31% increase in net income.
To reach $5 trillion, Microsoft would need to grow earnings by 10% annually, which some analysts say could be achievable given the company's strong growth drivers.
