Microsoft is phasing out support for Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows 10, which includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This change will take effect after August 2026, when version 2608 of Microsoft 365 Apps is released.

Once this update rolls out, devices running Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows 10 will no longer receive new features or Copilot support. However, they will continue to receive security updates until October 10, 2028.

Microsoft advises Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11 as soon as possible, warning that remaining on an unsupported operating system can cause performance and reliability issues when running Microsoft 365 Apps.
