Microsoft Brings Back Classic Outlook Look for New Users
Microsoft has introduced a new setting for Outlook on the Web and New Outlook for Windows that allows users to make their email client look like its predecessor, Classic Outlook. The setting is available in the appearance settings and can be enabled by September 30th at the latest.
The update aims to provide a more familiar experience for users transitioning from Classic Outlook while maintaining the capabilities of the new platform. However, it's essential to note that this setting won't add back the missing features from Classic Outlook, such as offline capabilities and importation of .pst files.
Microsoft is rolling out this feature as part of its efforts to phase out Classic Outlook in the coming years. The company has announced that support for Classic Outlook through perpetual and subscription licensing will continue until at least 2029.
