Microsoft Brings Governance and Security to Enterprise AI Deployments

Microsoft has announced a major update to its Azure AI Foundry platform, designed to bring governance and security to enterprise AI agent deployment. The new capabilities include the general availability of publishing agents directly to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams.

This means organizations can now push agents into tools their employees already use without having to create custom deployment pipelines. Additionally, Autopilot agents and Agent-to-Agent functionality are now available in public preview.

A2A allows individual agents to coordinate with each other inside a larger workflow, which is crucial for real enterprise processes that rarely fit inside a single task.

Every agent created on Foundry now gets its own identity through Microsoft Entra ID, giving IT and compliance teams a centralized place to see every agent running across the organization.
