Microsoft Brings Xbox 360 Games to PC via Xbox App
A leaked document has revealed that Microsoft plans to make Xbox 360 games playable on PC through the Xbox app. This follows the company's announcement of bringing original Xbox games to PC, and developers will now be able to opt in their Xbox 360 titles for the program.
Game developers will have control over pricing and whether their game enters Xbox Game Pass. The full launch of the original Xbox program on PC is set for October 2026, with Xbox 360 support scheduled to roll out between 2027 and 2028 across next-gen devices, including PCs running the Xbox app and handhelds like the ROG Xbox Ally.
Microsoft's rumored disc-to-digital program was also mentioned in the document. The program would grant players a digital license when they insert a physical Xbox One or Series disc into a console with a disc drive, allowing them to play games across Xbox devices.
