Microsoft Cloud Growth Outpacing S&P 500

Microsoft's growth has outpaced the S&P 500 this year, but its recent surge may be just the beginning.

The tech giant's cloud computing unit is driving much of this growth, with revenues up by 27% year over year in Microsoft's fiscal 2026 fourth quarter.

This trend is expected to continue due to increased demand for cloud platforms driven by artificial intelligence. Competitors like Amazon and Alphabet have reported strong demand for their own cloud platforms.
