Microsoft Criticized for Role in Chinese Hack of US Government Emails
A Cyber Safety Review Board report has revealed lapses by Microsoft that led to a targeted Chinese hack last year. The incident involved top U.S. government officials' email, including Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo's.
The review board was created in 2021 by executive order and is led by Homeland Security. It investigated the breach and found that Microsoft had failed to take adequate measures to prevent it.
