Microsoft Deploys AI Agents to Find Flaws in Azure Government Cloud

Microsoft has introduced an advanced AI system called MDASH to identify and prioritize software vulnerabilities within its Azure Government cloud environment.

The system employs over 100 specialized AI agents that analyze code, debate the severity of findings, and consolidate duplicate results before presenting a list to security teams.

MDASH operates differently from traditional security scanners by using AI agents that reason about code behavior to determine exploitability.

Microsoft reports that MDASH achieved a score of 96.55 on the CyberGym benchmark, although acknowledges the limitations of benchmarks in capturing real-world complexity.
