Microsoft Ditches Auto-Predictive Text in Word and Outlook

Microsoft has made a change to its popular Word and Outlook apps that will please many users. From now on, predictive text will no longer be turned on by default in these applications.

This feature, which suggests words and phrases as you type, was previously enabled automatically for all users. However, Microsoft is aware that not everyone finds this helpful, so the company has made the change to give people more control over their writing experience.

Text predictions will still be available in Word and Outlook, but they must now be manually enabled by each user. This change affects the desktop, web, Android, and iOS versions of both apps, as well as users of Outlook for Mac and Classic Outlook for Windows.
