Microsoft Ditches Default Predictive Text in Outlook and Word
Microsoft has made changes to its Outlook and Word software, disabling default predictive text suggestions. The change is part of Microsoft's effort to provide a more consistent user experience across its applications.
The company announced the decision in a blog post on September 1st, stating that it wants to 'provide a more consistent and user-controlled writing experience' and reduce 'unwanted interruptions for those who prefer to write without suggestions appearing automatically.'
Users can still enable predictive text manually by going into settings and turning on the feature. This change affects desktop versions of Outlook and Word on Mac and Windows, as well as their web editions.
