Microsoft Donates Land in Atlanta's Grove Park Neighborhood
The City of Atlanta and Atlanta Urban Development Corporation (AUD) are hosting a community celebration on September 12th to mark Microsoft's donation of approximately 22.5 acres of land for community-focused development.
The donated parcel, located at Quarry Yards in the Grove Park neighborhood, fronts Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and is positioned to help connect residents with nearby community resources.
Mayor Andre Dickens praised the donation, saying 'This land donation creates an important opportunity to deliver meaningful benefits for Grove Park residents.' The goal of this initiative is to bring investment, resources, and opportunities to communities that have gone without for too long.
The event on September 12th will recognize the partnership between Microsoft, the City of Atlanta, and AUD and highlight the next phase of work to ensure the property contributes to the long-term vitality of Grove Park and the surrounding community.
