Microsoft Edge Update Brings Apple Sign-In, Retires Edge Drop
The latest update to Microsoft Edge has added several new features and retired others. One of the notable additions is the ability to sign in using an Apple account, which is now available for both Windows and macOS devices.
Another feature that has been added is automatic unsubscription from notifications related to scams and malicious sites. When a notification leads users to a site that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen blocks as a scam or malware page, Edge will automatically stop sending further notifications.
The update also marks the retirement of several features, including Edge Drop, real-time video translation, and the enhanced key icon with credential details, copy actions, and notes. Edge Drop allowed users to send messages, files, and photos to themselves through the browser's sidebar.
