Microsoft Edges Ahead of Salesforce as Bank of America Analyst Weighs In
Bank of America (BofA) analyst Tal Liani has weighed in on the competitive landscape between Microsoft and Salesforce, two of the biggest names in enterprise software. In a recent analysis, Liani expressed optimism about Microsoft's prospects due to its strong AI strategy and accelerating cloud growth.
Liani points out that Microsoft's Dynamics 365 platform puts it directly in competition with Salesforce in customer relationship management (CRM), while its wider ecosystem of cloud and productivity tools gives it another way to challenge the rival. The analyst believes that Microsoft's flexibility in offering a range of AI models allows customers to select an appropriate model based on their requirements, which can improve efficiency and limit token consumption.
Moving forward, Liani is bullish on Microsoft's long-term positioning across AI infrastructure, models, and applications. He rates MSFT stock a Buy and has raised his price objective from $500 to $600, implying shares will gain 19% over the coming year.
