Microsoft Email Services Resume with Search Functionality Still Down
Microsoft's email services are slowly recovering from a technical issue that disrupted access to Exchange Online and other Microsoft 365 services worldwide.
The outage, which began on Monday, affected users' ability to sign in, send and receive emails, search mailbox content, and complete other email-related operations.
According to Microsoft, the disruption was caused by a core authentication configuration issue within the Exchange Online infrastructure.
Engineers conducted manual tests on individual servers before expanding remedial measures across the affected infrastructure.
While mailbox connectivity has returned to expected service levels, search functionality is still being worked on and users may continue to experience varying levels of disruption and email delays.
