Microsoft Ends Office 2021 Support in October: What You Can Do Instead

Microsoft will end support for Office 2021 on October 13, 2026. This means users of this version will no longer receive updates, both feature updates and security updates.

This can leave users vulnerable to threats, but there is a third-party tool called 0patch that offers unofficial micropatches. These micropatches fix vulnerabilities without altering the original software code, providing security coverage for up to three years.

According to PCWorld, 0patch will cost €24.95 annually for private users and €34.95 per PC for businesses. Microsoft recommends upgrading to Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 as the primary alternative.
