Microsoft Enhances Entra with Tenant Governance and Access Reviews
Microsoft has rolled out several new features and updates for its Entra identity governance platform, aiming to enhance security and compliance for organizations managing identities across Microsoft environments.
The company announced the general availability of enhanced tenant governance, which provides better visibility into applications and services connected to an environment, helping identify and manage unauthorized or unapproved resources that could introduce security and compliance risks.
User-centric access reviews are also hitting general availability this month, making it easier for organizations to validate whether users still need access to resources, reducing excessive permissions and supporting least-privilege security practices.
Lifecycle Workflows have gained cloning support, simplifying user onboarding, offboarding, and other identity lifecycle tasks. Additionally, passwordless authentication capabilities are being brought to Teams devices that use Resource Accounts, further reducing reliance on traditional passwords and strengthening identity security.
