Microsoft Execs Slam AI Slop as Productivity Solution Backfires

Ryan Roslansky, Microsoft's EVP responsible for LinkedIn and other popular services, has expressed frustration with AI-generated content. He recently shared on LinkedIn that he received an 'AI-generated doc' that his own AI couldn't summarize effectively.

This is not the first time LinkedIn users have complained about AI slop, but it highlights concerns about relying too heavily on artificial intelligence for communication and productivity.

Roslansky believes this could lead to a 'doom loop' where AI-generated content becomes indistinguishable from human thought. He argues that while AI can help with tasks, it's not a substitute for human creativity and nuance.

This comes as Microsoft is pushing its Copilot AI hard, but has recently pulled back on some integrations following user complaints.
