Microsoft Executive's Ex-Wife Accused of Masterminding Murder-For-Hire Plot in Florida

A Microsoft executive named Jared Bridegan was shot dead in Jacksonville Beach on a warm winter evening in February 2022. The 33-year-old had dropped off his twins at their mother's home and was driving back to his own home with his 2-year-old daughter when he came across a tire in the road.

The investigators believe that this tire was planted by the killer, who knew Bridegan's routine, to lure him out of the car. Bridegan stopped to move the tire but before he could get back behind the wheel, someone shot him dead.

The police found multiple bullets pierced Bridegan's body and vehicle - one just inches from his toddler, Bexley, who was uninjured and crying in her car seat. The killer fled on foot and in a vehicle.
