Microsoft Executive's Murder-for-Hire Trial Begins
Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan's murder-for-hire trial has begun. Mario Fernandez Saldana, one of three people accused in the killing, is on trial for allegedly conspiring with his estranged wife Shanna Gardner to plan Bridegan's death.
Gardner is accused of being involved in a murder-for-hire plot against her ex-husband, who was 33 years old at the time of his death. Henry Tenon, an alleged accomplice, has been accused of fatally shooting Bridegan.
The incident occurred when Bridegan dropped off his twin children with Gardner and was driving back home with their younger sister in the car. Police say Saldana planted a tire on the road to cause Bridegan to stop, and when he did, he was ambushed and shot multiple times.
