Microsoft Expands Handheld Support with 45 New Xbox Games
Microsoft has added handheld support for another 45 games to its Xbox Store update. This brings the total number of handheld-optimized games on the platform to 25, while an additional 20 are now classified as handheld-compatible. Among the newly supported titles is Fable, which is set to launch next year and has been listed as handheld-optimized ahead of its release.
Fortnite has also received handheld-optimized classification, joining Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, which will be coming to Game Pass next month. The update adds to an already busy September for Xbox, with Microsoft confirming over 40 games releasing this week and 11 titles lined up for the XBOX Game Pass September lineup.
The handheld update is part of a larger effort by Microsoft to expand its game library on supported handheld devices. With this latest addition, players will have access to even more titles that can be played without requiring adjustments to in-game settings.
