The Motley Fool Stock Advisor analyst team recently identified their top 10 picks for investors to buy now, and Microsoft wasn't on the list. However, the analysts point out that some of their past recommendations have yielded massive returns, such as Netflix in December 2004, which would have returned $394,601 if invested at the time, and Nvidia in April 2005, which would have returned $1,197,093.

The team's average return is a market-crushing 895%, compared to 206% for the S&P 500. The Motley Fool has positions in and recommends Microsoft, and analyst Parkev Tatevosian notes that he has positions in the company as well.
