Microsoft Finalizes Major Taskbar and Start Menu Updates for Windows 11
Microsoft is finalizing its major updates to Windows 11's Taskbar and Start menu. The new features, which include movable and resizable Taskbars as well as customizable Start menus, have been in public preview since earlier this year for those enrolled in the Windows Insider Program.
These changes will address users' biggest complaints and bring highly requested features to the OS. Users can now move and resize the Taskbar, customize its size, and personalize different sections within the Start menu.
The updated Taskbar and Start menu are currently available on the Release Preview Channel, with a rollout planned for later this month or next month for users who do not have 'Get the latest updates as soon as they're available' enabled in Windows Update.
Microsoft's goal is to ensure that Windows 10 users feel comfortable making the switch to Windows 11. With these new features, users can tailor their experience to suit their preferences, much like they could with Windows 10.
