Microsoft Fixes 398 Windows Flaws Amid AI-Powered Patch Surge
Microsoft released updates to fix at least 398 security vulnerabilities in its Windows operating systems and supported software. This is part of the company's monthly patch update, known as Patch Tuesday.
The patches address weaknesses that could allow hackers to gain remote control over a Windows computer with little or no user interaction.
Of the 398 flaws fixed, 42 were rated critical by Microsoft, meaning they are severe enough to be exploited for remote access. One of the vulnerabilities is already being actively exploited, and two others were publicly disclosed before the patches were released.
The use of artificial intelligence in discovering security holes has led to an increase in patch volume and frequency from major software makers, including Adobe and Cisco.
