Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Beta Update Tackles Key Issues

Microsoft has released the Sim Update 7 Beta for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, allowing players to opt-in on various platforms including Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

The beta build, versioned as 1.9.10.0, focuses primarily on bug fixes across multiple areas of the game, including aircraft, systems, and developer tools. Some of the key issues addressed in this update include a potential crash affecting aircraft with more than 10 flap states, problems with airport selection on the world map, and issues related to aircraft traffic parking on taxiways.

Additionally, improvements have been made to the default ATC system, including a fix for missing takeoff clearance requests when the holding point is close to the runway. Under the hood, various aspects of electrical, pneumatic, engine, EFB, and aircraft system simulations have been updated, along with changes to DevMode and the SDK.

The Sim Update 7 Beta also includes support for Blender 5.2, allowing users to export models using this version of the software. To install the beta, players must follow specific instructions depending on their platform.
