Microsoft Introduces Excluded Content Terms in Advertising Platform
Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Excluded content terms in its advertising platform. This control allows advertisers to block ads from serving next to page titles that contain specific words they want to avoid.
The feature, which is now available for Audience, Performance Max, Search, and Shopping campaigns, limits each account to 1,000 excluded terms. These terms are applied across all campaigns in the account automatically, meaning advertisers don't need to set them up individually.
Microsoft partners with Integral Ad Science (IAS) to power this feature. IAS checks websites for sensitive content and blocks ads from serving on sites deemed high or medium risk. The company also performs its own brand safety checks on Microsoft-owned and operated sites.
