Microsoft Introduces Link to Location Feature in Word
Microsoft has introduced a new feature in Word for Windows and macOS called 'Link to Location,' which allows users to create links that point to specific places within a document. This feature is designed to simplify collaboration and feedback on long documents by enabling team members to jump directly to the intended section.
The process of creating a link involves right-clicking on the desired content, selecting 'Copy Link to Location' from the context menu, and then sharing the link with collaborators. When someone opens the shared link, they will be taken directly to the specified location in the document.
Microsoft frames this feature as a solution to a common frustration in long documents: having team members scroll through pages to find specific content. By providing a direct link to the relevant section, teams can save time and reduce back-and-forth communication.
