Microsoft Intune Rolls Out New Management Features for Enterprise Customers
Microsoft has rolled out its latest Intune service release (2608), which includes several management and security updates for enterprise customers. One of the most notable additions is unattended Remote Help, allowing authorized IT staff to troubleshoot physical PCs even when no user is logged in.
The update also brings OS version assignment filters, enabling administrators to target devices based on specific operating system versions or build range. This feature uses a rule builder that allows admins to create rules based on comparisons between the device's OS version and a specified value.
Additionally, Microsoft has introduced new policy settings for Windows, including Turn on Protected Mode for Internet Explorer security zones and Microsoft Edge policies from the Edge 150 template refresh. The company has also added seven apps to its protected apps list, which can participate in app protection policies.
