Microsoft Launches $2.5B AI Consulting Business Amid Growing Demand for Enterprise AI
Microsoft has launched a new operating business called Microsoft Frontier Company (MFC) focused on delivering AI support for its clients through enterprise AI engineering expertise.
MFC's president, Rodrigo Kede Lima, brings over 30 years of experience to the role, having led enterprise-wide change in sales for the Americas and Asia at Microsoft for the past six years.
The company aims to embed more than 6,000 industry and engineering experts in customer locations to co-design, co-innovate, deploy, and continuously improve AI systems based on measurable business goals and outcomes.
MFC's employees will work closely with major partners such as Accenture, Capgemini, EY, KPMG, PwC, and others. As part of the project, Microsoft will protect clients' proprietary data and expertise by not using it to train models that commoditize what differentiates them in their industry.
