Microsoft Launches $900 Limited Edition Xbox Series X25 Console

Microsoft has launched pre-orders for its limited edition Xbox Series X25 console, celebrating 25 years of gaming since the release of the original Xbox in November 2001. The console features a translucent green design and comes with a matching green controller.

The price tag is substantial at $899.99, which some fans have labeled as 'mad'. Each console will come with a free download of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the original title released last month.

Microsoft plans to showcase the Xbox Series X25 in more detail during its Gamescom showcase on August 27, but for now, pre-orders are open and available. The company is also working on Project Helix, a fifth-generation console that will follow in the footsteps of the Series S|X, One, 360, and Xbox original.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has announced plans to make thousands of games available on the platform through digital ports, allowing physical discs to be downloaded and played on Cloud software across consoles and handhelds.
