Microsoft Lets Users Dismiss OneDrive Prompts for Good
Microsoft has finally given users the ability to dismiss OneDrive prompts in Windows 11. The company integrated several of its services into the operating system, including cloud backup service OneDrive.
In the past, users who didn't use OneDrive were repeatedly prompted to install it and protect their files. Now, when a 'Protect your files' reminder appears, users can opt out of further suggestions by clicking on a new option called 'Opt out of backup selection.'
This change doesn't eliminate OneDrive entirely; Microsoft has also been testing a OneDrive Photos app that could potentially replace the existing Windows Photos app.
