Microsoft Manager's Ex-Wife and Husband Accused of Orchestrating Ambush Murder
A Microsoft design manager, Jared Bridegan, was killed in a targeted ambush on a dark Florida road in 2022. His ex-wife, Shanna Gardner, and her husband, Mario Fernandez Saldana, are accused of orchestrating the crime.
The murder occurred when Bridegan stopped his vehicle to remove a tire that had been placed in the road. He was shot twice moments later while his 2-year-old daughter from another relationship was strapped in the car seat.
Fernandez Saldana, an Army veteran, is on trial for first-degree murder and solicitation of murder. His defense attorney argued that he didn't act like a mastermind and had no motive to get rid of Bridegan.
