Microsoft Manager's Killer Convicted for Fatal Ambush

A man has been convicted of arranging the fatal shooting of Microsoft manager Jared Bridegan in front of his daughter in Florida. The attack occurred in February 2022, after Bridegan got out of his SUV to remove a tire from the road in Jacksonville Beach.

Prosecutors believe Bridegan was killed because of an ongoing dispute with his ex-wife Shanna Gardner over the parenting of their twins. Mario Fernandez Saldana, who is married to Gardner, was convicted of first-degree murder and solicitation of murder, and faces a life sentence in prison.

Fernandez Saldana hired handyman Henry Tenon to carry out the ambush, but he had no personal connection to Bridegan. Prosecutors say Fernandez Saldana paid Tenon $10,000 for the hit, with three checks marked as payments for handyman work and a business idea.
