Microsoft Manager's Murder-for-Hire Conviction Throws Spotlight on Personal Tragedies
A man has been convicted of arranging the murder-for-hire killing of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft design manager who was shot on a Florida road in 2022.
Bridegan was killed after he got out of his SUV to remove a tire from the road in Jacksonville Beach. The attack stumped police for months as they struggled to understand why someone with no apparent enemies would be killed while his daughter sat nearby in her car seat.
The convicted man had been involved in a child custody dispute with Bridegan's ex-wife, who is reported to be wealthy.
