Microsoft Modernizes Windows 11 with Updated AutoPlay Dialog Box
Microsoft continues its efforts to refine Windows 11, and the latest update brings a modernized AutoPlay dialog box that's been revamped using WinUI. This change improves performance, adds visual consistency with the rest of Windows 11, and enhances responsiveness to text scaling.
The updated AutoPlay experience is now more consistent with the rest of Windows, supports dark mode, and continues to provide familiar AutoPlay actions. The dialog box is also now docked in the notification center for easy access.
In addition to the modernized AutoPlay dialog box, this update includes several other improvements, such as a new accessibility setting that allows users to open apps maximized by default. This change aims to reduce everyday friction and provide a consistent full-screen workspace.
Microsoft has also added the option to manage camera, microphone, and location permissions on a per-app basis for desktop applications, giving users more control over their privacy choices.
