Microsoft Outlook Users Face Thousands of Issues on August 31
Thousands of Microsoft Outlook users experienced issues on August 31, according to outage tracker Downdetector. The problems began around noon ET and peaked at nearly 6,000 complaints by 12:24 p.m. ET.
The majority of users, 39%, had trouble receiving emails, while others reported disruptions to the app and logging in.
In a statement on social media platform X, Microsoft confirmed it was working to resolve issues with its 'Exchange Online' product.
'We've confirmed that users may experience degraded functionality with various Exchange Online functionalities,' the company said. 'We're reviewing service telemetry and diagnostic data to isolate the source of the issue.'
