Microsoft Overhauls Financial Reporting with Two-Segment Structure
Microsoft has announced a significant overhaul of its financial reporting to increase transparency for investors. The company will transition from three reporting segments to two, with full transparency of quarterly revenue across key businesses.
The new segments are Agents and Infra, which encompasses Productivity and Business Processes and Intelligent Cloud, and Devices and Consumer, which includes More Personal Computing.
Azure will finally provide quarterly revenue numbers, generating $29.4 billion in revenues in the most recent quarter and about $100 billion in the full fiscal year, up from $75 billion in the previous year.
