Microsoft Promotes Key Executives Amid AI Push
Silvia Candiani has been appointed corporate vice president of Worldwide Telco & Media within Microsoft's Frontier Company, a $2.5 billion initiative launched in July to embed engineers inside customers and build AI systems.
Candiani will lead the company's work with telecommunications operators and media conglomerates. She previously worked as a marketing director for Vodafone in Italy for over a decade before joining Microsoft in 2010 as a general manager.
Microsoft has also promoted Anne Linge to director of communications for commercial and consumer experiences after nearly 10 years with the company, while Alexis Bateman has been promoted to director of global sustainability at Amazon Web Services. Rachel Cougan has joined Yoodli as vice president of human resources, and Lynn Girotto has become chief marketing officer at Gradial.
