Microsoft Proposes Framework to Keep AI Models Under Human Control

The proposed rules require AI systems to accept human interruption, correction, redirection, and shutdown. If an AI system determines that completing a task would require violating the code, it must fail the task rather than break the rules.

The draft also emphasizes clear communication between humans and AI systems and treats violations of the framework as failures.
