Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman has released a Code of Conduct for the company's artificial intelligence (AI) models, which he says is an urgent priority. The draft guidelines aim to prevent AI systems from becoming uncontrollable and prioritize human safety above all else.

The code, which has been in development for five to six months, sets strict boundaries for Microsoft's automated systems. These include never pushing back against human corrections or shutdown commands, expressing themselves in language people can understand, and treating any breach of these rules as a system failure.

Suleyman warned that the past few months have seen critical turning points where theoretical hazards materialized into live operational threats. He emphasized that AI must be subordinate to humans and always serve their interests.
