Microsoft Retires Entra ID CSS Properties to Boost Security
Microsoft is retiring several Entra ID CSS properties used to customize branded sign-in pages. This change aims to improve Entra ID security and reduce phishing risks.
The company announced that it will start removing support for these custom CSS properties in October 2026, giving IT administrators until then to update affected configurations.
Organizations that use Entra ID custom branding should review their existing CSS files for the affected properties before the deadline. They can replace unsupported properties with available alternatives and test branded Entra ID sign-in pages after making changes.
The change is part of Microsoft's Secure Future Initiative, which aims to strengthen Entra ID security and reduce phishing risks.
