Microsoft Revamps Boeing 707 for MSFS 2024 with Advanced Features
Microsoft has re-released a revamped version of the Boeing 707-320C for its Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 platform. The Famous Flyer 10, originally developed by Aeroplane Heaven and released in 2024 to mixed reception, has been reworked by iniBuilds and Working Title.
The updated aircraft is now native to MSFS 2024 and includes a 'combi' configuration suitable for simultaneous passenger and freight operations. It features three cockpit avionics options: the GNS 530, CIVA INS, and UNS-1 FMS. The RDR-1 Weather Radar has also been implemented as a sim attachment, allowing other developers to incorporate it into their own aircraft.
The default MSFS 2024 EFB will aid in operating the aircraft, making tasks such as INS data entry, performance calculations, and thrust settings easier to manage. A virtual flight engineer is also included, handling parts of the Flight Engineer panel and associated checklists to reduce workload on a single pilot.
