Microsoft Rolls Out Optional Bing and Store Search Result Toggle for Windows 11
Microsoft has released an optional update for Windows 11 that allows users to opt out of web-based Bing results and Microsoft Store listings from appearing in the built-in search tool.
This feature, which was previously rolled out in Europe due to regulatory requirements, is now available globally as part of the KB5120998 update.
The update also includes changes to make it easier for users to understand where each result comes from and provides a simpler Search home page.
Tests have shown that disabling web and Store results can speed up searches, making it a useful option for those who want more control over their search experience.
