Microsoft Stock Sees Strong Rebound with AI Narrative Rebuilt
Microsoft's stock has been quietly rebuilding its AI narrative over the summer, climbing back toward the $500 handle as Azure crossed $100 billion in annual revenue and Microsoft 365 Copilot passed 30 million paid seats.
The company's strong performance has led to a BUY call on MSFT with a price target of $605. This is based on the stock's 22% upside from current levels, which reflects a combination of accelerating cloud growth, expanding AI monetization, and an analyst community that is nearly unanimous in its bullish stance.
Microsoft's CFO Amy Hood warned that demand continues to exceed available supply as the company guided for 45% Azure growth and plans to roughly double data center capacity in two years. The $678 billion contracted backlog also dwarfs the trailing revenue base, driving the stock's price target higher.
