Microsoft Stock Surges on Azure Growth and AI Strategy
Microsoft's stock price reached $513.53 on August 28, marking its sixth consecutive day of gains. The company cleared a resistance zone and is now close to reaching its Fibonacci extension level of $523.08.
The strong performance is attributed to the growth of Azure, which saw a 43% increase in revenue, as well as Copilot's rapid adoption, with over 30 million paid seats.
Microsoft's commercial backlog stands at $678 billion, an 84% increase from last year. The company's investment in Anthropic and its AI strategy are also contributing to its success.
The addition of Maia 300 microchips could further improve Microsoft's AI economics, but the introduction of proprietary chips may put pressure on the company's margins.
