Microsoft Surpasses Estimates with Strong Q4 Earnings, Cloud Growth
Microsoft's Q4 2026 earnings report exceeded analyst estimates, with the company's cloud revenue reaching $214 billion. CEO Satya Nadella highlighted several key trends and initiatives during a follow-up call with analysts.
Nadella noted that Microsoft added 31 data centers across five continents in Q4, reduced deployment times for GPUs, and increased Copilot workload throughput four-fold. The company also made progress on its rack-scale AI infrastructure, based on NVIDIA Vera Rubin and AMD Helios.
Amy Hood, CFO, projected 45 percent revenue growth for Azure. Dynamics customers are leveraging AI models to achieve significant cost reductions, with MAI-Voice-2-Flash helping to reduce GPU costs by 89 percent in Dynamics 365 scenarios.
Microsoft's business applications model has seen notable success in the 'seats plus consumption' category, particularly in Dynamics 365 Customer Service. Nadella stated that customer service is at the forefront of this transformation, with usage-based credit consumption up 4X quarter over quarter.
