Microsoft Taps AI to Streamline Network Operations
Microsoft's IT organization, Microsoft Digital, has been working to improve its network operations. With over 900 sites, 500 datacenters, and tens of thousands of network devices, managing connectivity is a complex task.
The company uses AI agents to help with this process. These agents can sense what's happening in the network, act within clear limits, and validate outcomes before human intervention is required.
One of these agents, called Falcon Agent, provides on-demand diagnostics and troubleshooting. It allows engineers to refresh troubleshooting, retrieve current logs, check device reachability, and validate service restoration.
