Microsoft Taps Angela Nganga as New East Africa Country Lead
Microsoft has announced Angela Nganga as its new East Africa Country Lead. With over 20 years of experience in technology, telecommunications, healthcare, public affairs, and policy, Nganga brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
Nganga's appointment underscores Microsoft's commitment to empowering people, organizations, and governments across Kenya and the broader East Africa region. She will advance Microsoft's efforts to drive inclusive digital transformation while deepening investment in local innovation, skills development, and strategic partnerships.
Nganga has a long history with Microsoft, joining the company in 2012 as part of its Middle East and Africa (Emerging Markets) leadership team. In her previous roles, she has worked on government engagement, strategic business development, stakeholder management, and digital transformation across East and West Africa.
Based in Nairobi, Nganga looks forward to partnering with governments, enterprises, and the local startup ecosystem to build AI skills and workforce readiness. Her goal is to enable East African companies to become producers as well as consumers of AI innovation, which she believes is essential for their success in the global digital economy.
