Microsoft Taps Francisco J. M. Rey as VP of Global Network Infrastructure
Microsoft has appointed Francisco J. M. Rey as the Vice President of Global Network Infrastructure at Azure Networking, a new position within the company.
Rey joins the role from his previous position as Partner and General Manager at Azure, which he held since 2023. He has been with Microsoft for over ten years, starting as Principal Strategic Network Negotiator in 2013.
In his new role, Rey will work alongside Vice President for Azure Global Networking Jamie Gaudette. His career has included the introduction of Hollow Core Fiber and microLED technology to reduce energy consumption and improve performance in AI and cloud computing.
